Return Policy

You have 14 days from receiving your order to return items for a refund or exchange. Items must be unworn, unwashed, with all original tags attached, and in their original packaging. We must be able to resell the item as new, so please ensure it is free of stains, odors, and pet hair.

Items returned in used condition, without original packaging, or missing tags may be subject to a 20% restocking fee or rejection. If your return is rejected because it doesn't meet these requirements, you will be responsible for a $15 return shipping fee.

Return Shipping Labels:

  • Redo Unlimited Returns Customers: If you purchased Redo Unlimited Returns, a pre-paid shipping label will be provided within the return portal (more info below).
  • Non-Redo Customers: If you did not purchase Redo, a discounted return label will be available for purchase within the portal. The cost of the label will be charged at the time of your return request. This provides a convenient way to return items at a reduced shipping rate.

Quick Exchanges: Need an exchange within two weeks? We recommend placing a new order for the correct size and returning the original item for a refund, or submitting a request for an Instant Exchange through the return portal.

Processing & Refunds:

Please allow 7-10 business days for us to process your return after we receive it. Once processed, refunds are typically credited to your original payment method within 2-3 business days, but it may take up to 10 business days depending on your bank.

Important Information:

  • Shipping costs and Redo fees are non-refundable.
  • Some orders may ship directly from the manufacturer. Do not return items to the manufacturer. All returns must be sent to Perfect Tux.

How Redo Unlimited Returns Work

Redo Unlimited Returns is an optional purchase that simplifies online returns with pre-paid shipping labels and a streamlined process. You can add it to your purchase either during checkout or when adding an item to your cart. By adding Redo to your order, you're entitled to unlimited return attempts for that order number. Redo covers return shipping costs for store credit. This applies to all return attempts under the original order number. Customers who do not purchase Redo are responsible for return shipping costs for refunds or exchanges.

Once your order has been fulfilled, the Redo add-on is non-refundable.

Redo Pickup Service (Optional): The Redo pickup service is managed by the courier. We cannot adjust scheduled pickup times or dates. To cancel or modify a pickup, please contact the courier directly. The Redo fee does not include pickup service; this is a separate, optional service.

How Instant Exchanges Work

If your event is within two weeks, we recommend using our "Instant Exchange" option.

How Instant Exchanges Work:

  1. Requesting an Exchange: Select the item you want to exchange and choose the replacement item.
  2. Pre-Authorization Hold: A temporary hold (pre-authorization) will be placed on your payment method for the price of the replacement item. This is not a charge; it's a temporary hold to ensure payment if the original item isn't returned.
  3. Shipping the Replacement: The replacement item will ship within our standard processing time. For expedited shipping, please contact our customer service team after completing the instant exchange.
  4. Returning the Original: Return the original item to us. Once we receive and verify it's in returnable condition, the pre-authorization hold will be released.

Tips & Common Issues with Returns & Exchanges

Tips Returning Tuxedos, Suits, or Jackets

To return or exchange a tuxedo, suit, or jacket, all original tags must be attached, including any sewn-on sleeve tags. Items missing tags will be rejected. The coat or jacket must not be altered or tailored in any way; altered items are not returnable.

Most of our tuxedos and suits are sold as "married sets" (matching jacket and pants). We understand that these sets may not fit everyone perfectly. If the coat or pants are slightly too large or too small, we recommend consulting a tailor. Our tuxedos and suits typically include extra fabric that a tailor can use for adjustments.

A 20% restocking fee will be assessed if the hanger, garment bag, or any other original packaging is missing.

Tuxedo Packages

For tuxedo packages, individual items cannot be returned for a refund. However, we offer the option to exchange a single item within the package without needing to return the entire set. All exchanges are subject to our standard return policy requirements, and the exchanged item must be in its original, unworn condition with tags attached.

Information for Wedding Parties

To ensure a smooth process for wedding parties, we recommend registering with Perfect Tux. With a dedicated wedding specialist, we can track stock availability and help manage your order effectively. If your wedding party is not registered and faces inventory issues resulting in incomplete orders, we regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate any requests outside of our standard return policy.

Tips for Returning Shirts

To receive a full refund, shirts must be returned in their original packaging. Shirts are often problematic returns. We understand that repackaging can be difficult, so as long as you make an effort to repackage the shirt, you will not be charged a restocking fee. However, shirts returned balled up will incur a restocking fee.

All our shirts are true to size. Please double-check the sizing chart on each product page before ordering. You'll find a sizing chart and instructions on how to measure yourself under a dedicated tab on each shirt's product page.

Shirts returned without packaging or without tags (if applicable) will incur a 20% restocking fee. Shirts returned with no packaging at all will be rejected.

Tips Returning Shoes

Returned or exchanged shoes must show no signs of wear or use. This includes, but is not limited to, walking creases on the toe box (top of the shoe) and any dirt or markings on the soles. Please return shoes in the original condition and packaging/box you received them in.

If your shoes arrived in a shoe box, please do not affix the return label directly to the box. Doing so damages the packaging and prevents us from reselling the shoes as new. Shoes returned with damaged packaging will be subject to a 20% restocking fee or may be rejected.

Tips Returning Boys Tuxedos/Suits

Boys' tuxedos and suits are sold as sets. To return or exchange a set, all items must be returned together in their original packaging with all original tags attached. If any item is missing from the set, the entire return will be rejected. Please double-check the contents before returning.

Closeout, Discounted, and Sale Items

Products marked as closeout, sale, or discontinued on our website are sold at reduced prices and are final sale. These items are not eligible for returns or exchanges. All closeout, sale, and discontinued items will be clearly marked before purchase.

Restocking Fee for Production Companies, Movie Studios, Costume Departments, and Theaters

Due to past instances of production companies ordering large quantities and subsequently returning most items, a 15% restocking fee will be applied to these types of orders. We will contact you before shipping if this policy applies to your order. Please contact us with any questions before placing your order.
